The Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge in New Jersey has a new Visitor Information Center, which just had its official opening on Saturday. The beautiful $1.2 million structure replaces a 28-year-old building, and it will be staffed by volunteers with the Friends of Forsythe.

At this time of year, many coastal refuges around the country are witnessing the return of their ospreys. Many ospreys in the U.S. spend their winters down south (in Central and South America) and return north for the breeding season.

Unfortunately the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge in Virginia had a run of bad luck when 71 mph winds blew down part of their Eagle Cam nest and all three eggs were lost.
