Tram Tours at Hagerman NWR

The North Texas e-News recently reported on the popular tram tours at Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge in north Texas.

The C&E Cardinal Express is a new electric tram at Hagerman NWR where visitors can enjoy refuge tours along the Auto Route. The tram holds up to 14 and “operates silently for minimum disturbance of wildlife.”

Starting in November, regular tours will be scheduled. Visit the Friends of Hagerman website for details on the tours and making a reservation.

Hagerman NWR provides excellent habitat for many species of native wildlife. A total of 338 species of birds, 36 species of mammals, 60 species of reptiles and amphibians, and 61 species of fish have been documented, and the tram offers a wonderful opportunity for wildlife watchers and photographers to get closer to wildlife.
