On the website “Conserving the Future: Wildlife Refuges and the Next Generation” (which was just redesigned), there’s an important discussion going on about the future of America’s National Wildlife Refuge System.
If you’re a refuge advocate, a refuge employee, a refuge volunteer, a hunter, angler, bird watcher, or wildlife conservation supporter, you should visit the site, read the postings and register to let your voice be heard.
The ideas collected on “Conserving the Future: Wildlife Refuges and the Next Generation” will help chart the course of the Refuge System for the next ten years. And in July of this year — at the 2011 Vision Conference — thousands of refuge staff members, volunteers and advocates will meet in Wisconsin to talk about this new course and what it will mean for the Refuge System. You can be a part of that conversation starting today.
