Use Facebook To Plant a Tree on a Refuge

In celebration of Earth Day, Dell has created the “Plant a Tree For a Friend” Facebook application to make it easy for you and your friends to help the environment. For every tree you dedicate to your friend, Dell will make a donation to The Conservation Fund, which will plant the trees on behalf of your friends.

The Conservation Fund will plant trees at the Upper Ouachita National Wildlife Refuge in Louisiana. This refuge provides a superb winter habitat for tens of thousands of ducks and geese. It’s also home to the endangered red-cockaded woodpecker and the threatened Louisiana black bear. Other wildlife species living at the Upper Ouachita National Refuge include alligators, deer, turkeys, squirrels, bald eagles and beavers.

Visit the Dell website to learn more about the “Plant a Tree For a Friend” program or visit the Dell Facebook page to participate.
